"The martyrs of Pinsk murdered on 8 Nissan, 1919. [Pinsk, Belaruss, 1919].
Photo with portraits of 35 of Pinsk Jews, executed by Polish soldiers on March 1919, being accused of communism. The photos are a photo- montage: next to each portrait appears the name, age and political affiliation of the victim – "Zionist" or "Tze'irey Zion"; on the lower part appears a citation from the poem "Gay HaHareiga". 17.5X22 cm, cardboard backed 24X32 cm. Photo in good condition. Staining and tears to cardboard.
