Collection of Jewish Bookplates (Ex-Libris)
About 85 Jewish bookplates (Ex-Libris) and eleven books and booklets about bookplates. Palestine and Europe, late 19th till mid-20th century.
* About 85 bookplates, among them: 29 bookplates designed by Erich Buttner; 8 bookplates designed by Michel Fingesten; seventeen bookplates designed by Franz von Bayros; two bookplates designed by Karl Michel; one bookplate designed by Jean Cocteau; one bookplate designed by Ilya Schor; a dozen packaged bookplates designed for Julius Opitz by different artists; and more.
Numerous bookplates are signed in pencil. Some are matted and others are mounted on cardboard sheets.
* Eleven books about bookplates, among them seven issues of the magazine: "Exlibriskunst und Gebrauchsgraphik, Jahrbuch", and more.
