"Turim Mechazit Kiryati" – Kiryati Brigade Bulletin, Iyar 6, 1948
"Turim Mechazit Kiryati". Issued by Culture Department/Kiryati, May 15, 1948.
On the cover appears the title "The State of Israel Was Established" on the background of the Israeli flag. On the bottom of the title page appears the slogan "Defense Forces in Eretz Israel – for Liberty! For Independence! For Victory!" (Hebrew). The issue is typewritten and includes texts by Zionist intellectuals, the announcement by the provisional government about the establishment of the state, governmental, military and administrative notices, Alterman's poem "The Silver Tray" (Hebrew), written by hand and a column "BaMa'aracha" which reports news from the various fronts.
[1] title page, [5] leaves (it is possible that this issue is lacking leaves at the end). 33 cm. Fair condition. Significant foxing. Small tears at margins of leaves. Several detached leaves.
