The first part of the book is dedicated, in detail, to the history of Jews in England. The second part is dedicated to a thorough enquiry into the civil status of Jews in England, the civil disabilities imposed on Jews concerning property and real estate etc. The book also deals with the change of the version of the oath required for being appointed as a civil servant, receiving an academic degree or joining a professional guild.
