Two Palm-Shaped Amulets - Near East
Two palm-shaped amulets (hamsas). Eretz Israel or Near East, [ca. mid-20th century]. Low-grade silver, cut and engraved.
Two protective amulets in the shape of a palm (hamsa). In the center of one is a fish shape, and in the center of the other is a bird shape. Engraved eye-shaped decorations; letter combinations, initials and Biblical verses for protection and safeguarding.
Average size 10X16.5 cm. Good condition. Some stains and bends. Fish-decorated amulet missing some decorations.
