The division into sections of Bereshit Rabba (97) and Vayikra Rabba (38), is different from that of subsequent editions (regarding the printed version of Midrash Rabba, see Introduction to Bereshit Rabba by Chanoch Albeck, Berlin 1931, pp. 117-129. Regarding Vayikra Rabba, see: Mordechai Margaliot's preface to Midrash Vayikra Rabba, Jerusalem 1960, pp. XXXVII-XXXVIII). Ownership inscription and signatures in Italian script on the front endpapers: "This book belongs to the dear R. Yosef Jarach of Torino", "This is my Rabbot, Yosef Jarach", and others. Marginalia in Italian script (faded, some trimmed). This edition does not include Midrash Rabba on the Five Megillot, which was printed as a separate book, Pesaro, 1519. See following item.
