"HaMelekh" Esther Scroll in Olivewood Case – Israel
Esther scroll. Israel, [ca. mid-20th century].
Ink on vellum; wood, lathed and carved.
Written on thick sheets of parchment, and housed in cylindrical olivewood case bearing a carved pattern representing the Western Wall and Rachel’s Tomb.
"HaMelech" Esther scroll (most columns headed with the word "HaMelech").
Height of vellum sheets: approx. 10 cm. Height of case: 32 cm. Good condition.
