Collection of documents, authorizations and certificate which belonged to the soldier Haim Goldstein, owner of a diamond polishing workshop in Tel-Aviv, who was enlisted to the 53rd battalion of the Givati brigade on February 1, 1948.
Among the items: * Eight passes for leaving the camp and for staying away from the camp. * Transportation voucher. * Vacation certificate. * Form from the brigade clinic. * Telegram form and a number of letters sent to Goldstein (among them a letter of encouragement and a greeting for Passover from a girl in Tel-Aviv). * Identity card. * "Notebook for the Enlisted". * "Service Notebook". * "Permanent License" for entry and exit from the camp at any time (Company 3, 53rd regiment, South Brigade). * Two photographs of Goldstein. * Other items.
Total of about 27 documents. Size and condition vary. Fair-good overall condition. One certificate ("Merkaz HaMifkad LeSherut Ha'am") is incomplete (a part of it is missing).
