Two Responsum Letters from Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Halberstam of Sanz-Klausenburg, the Shefa Chaim – United States, 1980s
Two lengthy responsum letters, from Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Halberstam of Sanz-Klausenburg. United States, 1981-1982.
The letters were typewritten, with the addition of several lines at the end of each letter handwritten by the rebbe and his signature (these are photocopies of the letters; only the final page of each letter with the handwriting and signatures of the rebbe are original).
The letters were sent to his disciple R. Yisrael Aryeh Zalmanovitz, from Camp She'erit Hapletah in Woodbourne, N.Y. and from his home in Union City. Both letters discuss the custom of covering the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah before the Shofar blowing.
