She'erit Yehuda, laws of Melichah (salting meat) from Shulchan Aruch (sections 69-74), with commentary and responsa on all four parts of Shulchan Aruch, by R. Yehuda Leib Shneuri, posek and maggid in Janowitz, brother and close disciple of the Baal HaTanya. Vilna, 1841. First edition.
The author, R. Yehuda Leib Shneuri (d. 1825), the Maharil, was a prominent halachic authority. He was the assistant and confidant of his brother the Baal HaTanya, who relied on him to record and publish his teachings.
[1], 49 leaves. Approx. 23 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains (including dark stains) and wear. Significant wear to title page. Marginal tears to several leaves. New binding.
