Misgeret Ha'Shulchan - Berlin 1813 - Dozens of Glosses from the Time of Printing
Misgeret Ha'Shulchan, novellae on Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat by Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Wolf, a Dayan in Pińczów. Berlin 1813. Single edition.
On leaf 164, it was printed: "a copy of the notebook of the four countries of the State of Poland on the laws of Borchim at a congress of all geniuses and rabbis of the country".
On the title page, an ancient signature: "Chaim ---". On the pre-title page, an inscription: "Belongs to … Rabbi Baruch".
Throughout the leaves of the book, dozens of important scholarly glosses, some of them very long, handwritten by one of the geniuses of the generation. The glosses indicate his genius and vast knowledge of the Responsa literature yet his identity is unknown.
