Invitation of the Rebbe the "Imrei Chaim" of Vizhnitz to the Wedding of his Granddaughter with the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum of Satmar - His Signature - Rare!
A printed invitation to the wedding of the Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum of Satmar with the Rebbetzen Sasha, daughter of the Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua of Vizhnitz, the granddaughter of the Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager of Vizhnitz, the "Imrei Chaim".
The invitation was printed and sent by the great grandfather, the "Imrei Chaim". "I will thank God with all my heart … for all the good that He has bestowed upon me … and has brought me to the wedding day of my dear granddaughter … the Chuppah will take place … on Wednesday Parashat Shelach the eve of the 21st of Sivan 5726 [1966]…"
At the end of the invitation, the handwritten signature of the Rebbe: "Chaim Meir".
The invitation is with the official envelope of the Rebbe.
The Rebbe Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager of Vizhnitz (1888-1972), author of "Imrei Chaim", the fourth REbbe of Vizhnitz, one of the leaders of the Haredi community. He replaced his father Rabbi Yisrael Hager, author of "Ahavat Yisrael" agter his death in 1936. He was active in hiding many young men who were taken for forced labor by the Hungarian army during World War II. He miraculously survived the Holocaust and immigrated to the Land of Israel in 1947. In 1948, started the building of the Vizhnitz neighborhood of Bnei Berak.
He was considered a great diligent Torah scholar. His teachings were printed in the series of books "Imrei Chaim" and "Likuteo Imrei Chaim". He composed several well-known Hassidic melodies.
The Rebbe Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum of Satmar (born in 1948), the son of the Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Siget. A genius and Tzaddik, rabbi and guide of thousands.
The invitation folds into two. 21.5x27.5 cm. the envelope: 13x17.5 cm.
Condition: Good. Folding marks. Stains. A tear at the side of the envelope from which the invitation was taken out.
