Re'eh Chaim - Derashot according to the order of the Parashot of Bereshit and Shemot. By Rabbi Chaim Palachi, the chief rabbi of Izmir. Salonika, 1860. First edition.
The book contains Derashot and eulogies said by Rabbi Palachi in his youth.
The second section was printed in Izmir, 1865.
The book contains several theoretical glosses in handwriting similar to that of the author, Rabbi Chaim Palachi. The glosses were written with two different quill pens.
Haim Palachi (1788-1868) was a Jewish-Turkish chief rabbi of Smyrna (İzmir). His titles included Chacham Bashi and Gaon. Authored dozens of books on Halacha, kabbala and customs.
