Letter by the Lubavitcher Rebbe regarding a Hitva'adut on the 19th of Kislev "Rosh Ha'Shana of Hassidism", with an Addition of a "U'Lehatzlacha" (for Success) Blessing in his Handwriting and with his Signature
Letter sent by the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, on the fifth of Tevet 5719, 16.12.1958, to the "Celebration Committee of Kefar Chabad".
The letter contains words of greeting and encouragement on the "good news from the Hitva'adut on the 19th of Kislev - Rosh Ha'Shana of Hassidism".
At the end of the letter, the Rebbe added in his handwriting the word "U'Lehatzlacha" (for success) and his signature.
The day of the 19th of Kislev is regarded by the Chabad Hassidim as "The New Year of Hassidism". This date is commemorated by the Hassidim since on this day in 1798, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, "The Alter Rebbe", was released from the Russian prison. On this day, the annual cycle of studying the "Tanya" restarts. The central event of the day is a festive "Hitva'adut".
