Letter Signed by the Rebbe Rabbi Avraham of Krestir - Extremely Rare - Blessing the Recipient in the Name of his Father, the Rebbe Rabbi Yesha'aya Steiner of Krestir
A letter signed by Rabbi Avraham of Krestir to the Naggid Rabbi Shimon Guttesman, immediately after the death of his father, on a postcard with his father's logo.
Rabbi Avraham blesses the Naggid that the merit of his father ancestors will unveil abundant livelihood, blessing and success.
Rabbi Avraham replaced his father as rabbi after his death; unfortunately, he did not live long. He died at the age of 44, on the 18th of Adar A, 1928. Therefore, letters by him are extremely rare. To the best of our knowledge, a letter by him has never been sold in auctions!
At the margins of the leaf, the handwritten signature of the Rebbe: "Avraham ...ben Yesha'aya Zatzal…".

The letter was written on behalf of the Rebbe by his faithful assistant, Rabbi Elimelech Fishman, whose signature appears on the reverse side of the postcard: "Elimelech Fishman Gabai". The Rebbe added his signature on the first page.
Rabbi Elimelech Fishman authored the book "Lechem Abirim" on the Torah, which was printed in 1942, and which was approbated by the most prominent rabbis of Hungary. He was a disciple and friend of the Rebbe, Rabbi Yoelish of Satmar and later served as his assistant. When the Rebbe discovered his knowledge of the Torah he sent him to be the assistant of the Rebbe Rabbi Yesha'aya Steiner. After the Rebbe's death, he served as the assistant of his son Rabbi Avraham Steiner, who signed the letter before us.
Rabbi Fishman died in the Holocaust on the eve of Shavu'ot 1944 with his wife and several of his children and grandchildren.

The letter is undated. However, the signature implies that the letter is from 1925, the year of his father's death.
