Two original photographs - the portraits of the genius rabbis, father and son: Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer, the "Ketav Sofer" (1815-1872), the son of the "Chatam Sofer", who replaced his father as rabbi and head of yeshiva and Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer, the "Shevet Sofer" (1843-1907), who also replaced his father as rabbi and head of yeshiva.
The rabbis are seen sitting on chairs holding a religious book in their hands. These photographs verify the many illustrations that depicted the portraits of the rabbis.
Original photographs, the 19th century, on thick cardboard, in the style and shape typical of the period, with the name of the photographer's studio.
Size of each photograph: 10.5x16.5 cm.
Condition: Good. Flaws in the margins of the photographs.
