Letter by Rabbi Yechezkel Feigin, the Secretary of the Rebbe Rayatz - 1934 - An Unknown Plan to Visit the Land of Israel with His Sons-in-Law Rabbi Shemraya Gur Aryeh and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the would-be Lubavitcher Rebbe!
A long handwritten letter by Rabbi Yechezkel Feigin, with his signature, to Rabbi Chanoch Handel Havlin. Written on the official stationery of Rabbi Feigin.
In 1929, the Rebbe Rayatz visited the Land of Israel. The visit received much attention those days and was even described in detail in historic literature. The letter before us contains an important revelation about the Rayatz's plan to visit the Land of Israel again and the possibility that his sons-in-law, Rabbi Shemraya Gur Aryeh and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the would-be Lubavitcher Rebbe, will join him in his visit. As is known, the Lubavitcher Rebbe never visited the Land of Israel. Before us, therefore, is an important and interesting revelation.
