Belsen – Two Books about Bergen-Belsen, Yiddish and English, Publication of Irgun She'erut Ha'Pleta, 1957
Irgun She'erit Ha'Pleta (Organization of Surviving Remnants) in the British area of Bergen-Belsen was founded in 1949 and became the most important organization of survivors. The organization published the book 'Belsen' in 1957 in two editions, one in Yiddish, the other in English. The book contains articles, pictures of the camp prior to its release, pictures of illegal immigrants who tried to enter the country and were deported by the British and of a demonstration in the camp for the passengers of the "Exodus" ship, pictures of the cultural life in the camp and of sport competitions and pictures of the heads of the organization with President Yitzchak ben Zvi.
