Bella Lifshits, b. 1951, Oil on paper, 35 by 50 cm
 Born in former Soviet Union, in Kamchatka Peninsula –far away from

the Middle East. When she was a child, her family moved to Leningrad,

now St.- Petersburg, where she had acquired her education as

electrical engineer and was living until she and her family left to Israel

at the beginning of 1990. While adapting to the new life, Bella couldn’t

find a position of electrical engineer and changed her qualification to

multimedia and graphics and had various positions in this fields

over the years.

Sometime around the new Millennium, Bella had found herself drawn

to art and started taking painting classes at the Cathedra of Art in the

Rishon Lezion, her city of residence. She was surrounded by highly

experienced, intelligent, bright and open artists and was excited about it.

While being happy about this “New World”, her new journey had proved

itself to be quite complicated. She had to study a new language.

She had to find her way in the whole new world of techniques, colors

and materials and to uncover her identity as an artist. This wasn’t easy.

Bella’s hard work and determination had taken her into present, where she has her own signature and recognition.
