Zvi Reichverger, Acrylic on canvas attached to cardboard, 45 by 35 cm, signed,
Zvi Reichverger was born in 1940 in Kharkov, Ukraine. In 1972, he immigrated to Israel.
Zvi Reichverger Settled in Kfar Saba and is a member of a municipal association called "Artist in His City." In recent years, he has participated in numerous joint exhibitions and solo exhibitions. Recently, he showcased his works at the "House of Artists" in Tel Aviv.
Upon reaching retirement age, Zvi decided to dedicate more time and make painting his main occupation. For six years, Zvi worked on etchings (within Galit Rauchwerger's workshop at the House of Artists in Tel Aviv). Subsequently, Zvi began painting in color, primarily using acrylic and watercolors. He published his paintings on Facebook (Zvi Reichverger), gaining many followers, including professional painters. Zvi describes his paintings and his working method: "My paintings are mostly figurative - I start with the object in front of me, but I don't feel obligated to follow the appearance of the eyes. The play of colors and brush strokes create an interesting harmony for me. Additionally, I am intrigued by light and shadow, composition, colors and shades, and the overall harmony of the drawing. I mainly paint landscapes, still life, and portraiture. It is important for me to enjoy the working process. I believe that if I enjoy the painting, there is a chance that others will find it interesting too". His father was a painter. His younger brother, Jan Rauchwerger, began painting at a young age and eventually became a respected artist. Zvi grew up in an artistic atmosphere and painted for his enjoyment from time to time.
