Trench Art Hanukkah Menorah with Dedication to Ben Gurion, Ayalon Institute, 1948
Large Trench Art Hanukkah Menorah made of wood and bullet shells by Ayalon Institute - one of the Heganah's secret ammunition factories. Hand-painted with a hand holding a flag of Israel, a Star of David and a view of Jerusalem in the background. Fonts made of bullet shells (Shamash not original), bears a brass plaque with a Hebrew dedication to Ben Gurion: "With gratitude and appreciation to Prime Minister and Defense Minister Mr. David Ben-Gurion from Ayalon Institute, 1948". Dimensions: 109X47.5X44 cm. Good condition, minor flaws.
