Silver Tray, The House of Karolyi - Hungary
Early 19th century Silver Tray, decorated with the Coats of arms of The House of Károlyi and reliefs. Bears two handles. Attached to a wooden base. Dimensions: 34.5X57 cm. Net silver weight: 1873 grams. Unsigned, silver tested. Hallmarked.
The House of Károlyi was an old and prominent Hungarian noble family. Its members held the title of count in Hungary, which was conferred on them on April 5, 1712 by Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor.
