HONEGGER ARTHUR: (1892-1955) - HONEGGER ARTHUR: (1892-1955) Swiss composer, a member of Les Six. Vintage signed and inscribed sepia 3.5 x 5.5 photograph, the attractive image being a reproduction of Fernand Ochsé´s 1920 portrait of the composer in a head and shoulders pose. Signed by Honegger in black fountain pen ink across a lighter area at the base of the image. EX Fernand Ochsé (1879-1944) French Jewish designer, dandy, author, composer, painter and art collector who was murdered by the Nazis at Auschwitz. Ochsé and Honegger were close friends and had first met at the Paris Conservatory. In 1918, Honegger dedicated the ballet Le Dit des Jeux du Monde to Ochsé and in 1930 the operetta Les Aventures du Roi Pausole.
