Bloch has penned several bars of music, with lyrics ( ´A-me-rica, Ame-rica! Thy name is in´ ), being the refrain from Bloch´s anthem America: An Epic Rhapsody , H. 99 (1926–27). Some light age wear and minor staining and with two very small areas of paper loss to the upper corners, G Bloch’s America: An Epic Rhapsody is a large-scale orchestral work with chorus and soloists, written to celebrate the sesquicentennial of American independence.
