Orff thanks his correspondent for their letter and remarks ´I’m naturally quite happy for you to stage ”Die Kluge” as soon as possible – in Munich, it certainly won’t be performed before March´ , and continues ´As for *Der Tanz der Spröden*, do whatever works best for you; personally, I think *Die Kluge* can be performed on its own, though I’m not sure if that would be appropriate for Regensburg. I would prefer it if you could take on the direction yourself, provided you have the time and inclination´ . VG
