CAVENDER GLEN: (1883-1962) - CAVENDER GLEN: (1883-1962) American actor, an original member of the Keystone Cops who also appeared regularly in numerous Mack Sennett comedies, and portrayed the antagonistic Union Captain Anderson in Buster Keaton´s classic film The General (1926). A scarce vintage signed and inscribed 10.5 x 13.5 photograph, the pale blue toned image depicting the actor seated in a half-length pose. Signed in white fountain pen ink to the image, ´To Mr. E. H. Allen, ”By his friend ye shall know him”, Sincerely yours, Glen Cavender´ . Two words of the inscription are a little light, although legible. A few very light, minor corner creases, VG
