ROOSEVELT FRANKLIN D: (1882-1945) American President 1933-45. A good T.L.S., Franklin D Roosevelt, one page, 4to, Albany, 14th April 1932, to Glenn Walton Blodgett, on the printed stationery of the State of New York Executive Chamber. Roosevelt apologies to his correspondent for the delay 'in answering your letter in thanking you for the A[utograph]. D[ocument]. S[igned]. of Commodore David Porter' and further remarking 'It is a real addition to my collection and I am thrilled with it. Your letter was most interesting'. Letters by Roosevelt referring to his autograph collection are scarce and desirable. About EX £150-200 David Porter (1780-1843) American Commodore in the United States Navy who served in the War of 1812.
