ALFRED DUKE OF EDINBURGH: (1844-1900) Second son of Queen Victoria. Duke of Edinburgh 1866-1893. He reigned as Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha 1893-1900. Alfred married the Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia, second and only surviving daughter of Emperor Alexander II of Russia. An excellent signed 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite photograph, the Grillet image of Naples, official photographers of the Naples Royal family, showing the Duke standing in a studio full lengh-pose. Signed in dark ink to the lower white border, circa 1864. G £150-200
