HITLER ADOLF: (1889-1945) Fuhrer of the Third Reich 1934-45. An excellent and rare early D.S. by Hitler, one page, folio, Berlin, August 1936, in German. The document being an official directive from Hitler, bestowing the honorary title ''SSW - Sturm 2 Hans Purps'' upon Sturm 2 of the 81st SS Standarte Wurzburg. The bestowal is given `..in memory of the sacrifice of SS - Unterscharffuhrer Hans Purps who died during the political march on January 22nd 1933.´ Signed in bold black ink at the base of the letter. Various divisions and regiments were made up of sturms, which only on rare occasions were honoured by Hitler with such titles. Two file holes to the left border, not affecting the text or signature. Small overall creasing, otherwise VG £1500-2000
