KONEV IVAN: (1897-1973) Russian General of World War II, Marshal of the Soviet Union. D.S., I Konev, one page, folio, n.p., n.d., in Cyrillic. The partially printed document, completed in typescript, features a multi-coloured design (including an image of Stalin on a red flag) and is an award document issued to Military Regiment 7044, consisting of Comrades Zakarukin, Linkov, Kuznetsov and Beltov, and rewards them for their excellent result achieved during a relay race for an army summer sport competition at which they finished in second place with a time of 3.41 minutes and 9 seconds. Signed by Konev at the foot, part of his signature slightly obscured by a circular purple stamp, in his capacity as Commander of Troops of the 2nd District, Red Army. Some heavy creasing and a few tears and small areas of paper loss to the edges and corners, none of which affect Konev's signature, FR £100-150
