KOENIG MARIE-PIERRE: (1898-1970) French General of World War II, Marshal of France. Vintage signed and inscribed 7 x 9 photograph of Koenig in a half length pose wearing his uniform. Photograph by Studio Carabin of Strasbourg and bearing their imprint to the lower right corner and credit stamp to the verso. Signed by Koenig in blue ink at the base of the image, with weaker contrast, and dated 3rd March 1953 in his hand. Together with a T.L.S., Koenig, one page, 4to, Paris, 2nd March 1953, to Mr. J. Howarth, in French. Koenig responds to his correspondent's letter and forwards the signed photograph to him. Some light creasing and a small tear to the upper right corner of the letter, G to VG, 2 £100-150
