Bertrand Piccard (1958- ) Swiss Psychiatrist and Balloonist. Piccard was the first to complete a non-stop balloon flight around the globe; André Borschberg (1952- ) Swiss Entrepreneur and Pilot. He holds the world record for longest solo flight in an airplane of any kind, and 14 FAI different world records. Both Piccard & Borschberg were co-founders of the Solar Impulse Project, a privately financed project of a single-seated monoplane powered by photovoltaic cells, being the first ever round-the-world solar flight, successfully completed in July 2016. Don Walsh of the US Navy were the first to explore the deepest part of the world's ocean, and the deepest location on the surface of Earth's crust, the Mariana Trench.
