PIUS X: (1835-1914) Pope of the Catholic Church 1903-14. A fine vintage signed 10.5 x 13.5 photograph by Pius X, featuring an Apostolic Blessing, dated in the Pope´s hand `Vatican, 24 January 1909´. The image shows Pope Pius X seated in a full length pose. The lower photographer's mount bears a six lines holograph note, in Italian, stating in part 'To the beloved son, Priest Pius Stievano.. on his first day at the parish church..´ Small overall age wear and staining, otherwise G £500-800
