BURROUGHS EDGAR RICE: (1875-1950) American Writer, creator of the jungle hero Tarzan. Vintage fountain pen ink signature and inscription, 'My dear Mr. Laemmle, It is a pleasure and an honor to be bound forever in this volume with your other friends, always, Edgar Rice Burroughs', on an oblong 4to page, evidently removed from an album. Dated Tarzana, 16th December 1936 in his hand and with a typed caption to the lower right corner. Some extensive overall staining, slightly affecting the text, but not the signature, about G £80-100
