MENUHIN YEHUDI: (1916-1999) American-born British Violinist. Two good signed photographs by Menuhin. The first being an unusual signed and inscribed 10 x 7.5 photograph `To James, recalling our many pleasant days at Shepherd's Bush, Menuhin´, the fine image by Gainsborough, depicting Menuhin holding his violin in a half-length pose, and smiling over a score on the piano, with Gerald Moore (1899-1987), English Pianist. Signed in purple ink to a largely dark area at the base of the image, with inscription difficult to read, also dated July [1945] in his hand. Together with a signed colour 4 x 6 photograph, `Yehudi Menuhin´, showing Menuhin in a close-up head and shoulders pose. Signed in bold black ink to the lower white border. G to VG, 2 £120-150
