BARTHOLDI FREDERIC AUGUSTE: (1834-1904) - BARTHOLDI FREDERIC AUGUSTE: (1834-1904) French sculptor, best known for designing the Statue of Liberty ( ‘Liberty Enlightening the World’ ). A good vintage signed 2.5 x 3.5 photograph, the sepia albumen print depicting Bartholdi in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in dark ink with his name alone to the lower border beneath the oval image. Neatly laid down to a stiff card removed from an album to an overall size of 3 x 4.5. VG
