A good vintage signed cabinet photograph, the albumen print by Adèle of Vienna depicting the singer seated in a half-length pose in costume as Guillaume Tell from Gioachino Rossini´s 1829 opera William Tell . Signed ( ´Slezak Leo´ ) in dark fountain pen ink across the base of the image and dated at Vienna, 14th September 1903, in his hand. With the photographer´s imprint to the lower mount and verso. Some slight traces of former mounting to the edges of the verso, otherwise VG
