SEGOVIA ANDRES: (1893-1987) - SEGOVIA ANDRES: (1893-1987) Spanish virtuoso classical guitarist. Signed and inscribed sepia 7 x 9 paperstock image, being an attractive reproduction of a painting of Segovia by Miguel del Pino, depicting the musician seated in a three-quarter length pose with his guitar. Signed by Segovia in dark fountain pen ink to the lower border, with an inscription in French, ´Pour Marc et Denise, alliance heureuse d´intelligence et grace, en toute affection, A Segovia´ and dated at Paris, May 1931, in his hand. A couple of heavy creases to the lower left corner, G The Spanish artist Miguel del Pino (1890-1973) painted his portrait of Segovia in Paris in 1926; the resulting oil was subsequently reproduced in the press and became one of the best-known painted portraits of the celebrated Spanish guitarist.
