POLANSKI ROMAN: (1933- ) - POLANSKI ROMAN: (1933- ) French-born Polish film director, Academy Award winner. Signed 9 x 7 photograph of Polanski in a close-up head and shoulders pose in costume as Trelkovsky from the French psychological horror thriller film Le Locataire (1976; The Tenant ) which Polanski also directed and co-wrote. Signed in bold black ink with his name alone to the image. A pencil annotation in the hand of a collector to the verso indicates that the signature was obtained in person at the Cannes Film Festival in 1986. VG
