DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Père (1802-1870) French Writer whose works include The Three Musketeers. A.L.S., A. Dumas, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., to Monsieur Souverain, in French. The letter bears a crowned embossed seal to the upper left corner. Dumas sends a cleanly written letter to his correspondent stating `I write to you on behalf of my father who is in bed.. he instructs me to tell you that Mr. & Mme Garnico(?) having learned, he ignores how, that the volumes had to be sold, he did not want to make the delivery to them..´ Folded. With blank integral leaf. VG £200-300 Hippolyte Souverain was a French Parisian Editor.
