NADAR: (1820-1910) French Photographer, Caricaturist and Balloonist. His real name being Felix Tournachon. An excellent A.L.S., Nadar, one page, 4to, Paris, n.d., 1856, on his printed stationery bearing the printed heading ''Société de Photographie Artistique'', rue Saint-Lazare, to Paul Meurice, in French. Nadar states `My dear Paul, I do think that it is good to encourage and support Jean´s work who is the most honest and devoted person as far as I know, and I don't particularly see why should he be a fool and not ourselves instead. With blank address leaf in Nadar´s hand. Two holes to the address leaf as a result of the opening. Folded, with a corner crease. VG £120-200 Paul Meurice (1818-1905) French Novelist, a close friend to Victor Hugo.
