CHAVEZ HUGO: (1954-2013) President of Venezuela 1999-2013. An excellent T.L.S., `H. Chavez´, two pages, folio, Yare, 12th June 1992, to unidentified military authorities, in Spanish. The document is written during Chavez´ soft imprisonment time in Yare in 1992 and is signed at the base as ''Commandant of MBR-200'', his clandestine Revolutionary Bolivarian Movement. The present letter was sent to military authorities collaborating with Chavez in the preparation of a near future new coup d´état. Chavez establishes different working lines with six main aspects, and states in part `Considering that this is a very urgent matter, I dare requesting from you information regarding the emergency measures to be immediately established by a Transition Government..´ further saying in the fifth point `The Transition Government must be based on a Civil-Military Fusion…with an important popular participation in the decision making, civil participation in the administration, Military incorporations to the National and regional governments… we believe that such a government model has not been able to consolidate yet in Latin America…´ In his sixth section and before concluding Chavez states `..there is no other option than the civic-military insurrection. The last derision is the blockade to the referendum for the president´s revocation. We believe that a new uprising is imminent… Ready for the storm.´ A very good content historic letter. With few foxing stains to the edges and few very small pinholes, none affecting the text or signature. G £250-350 Chavez was arrested and imprisoned at the Yare prison after his coup attempt on 4th February 1992.
