AGA KHAN: (1877-1957) Imam of the Nizari Ismaili Community and the first President of the All-India Muslim League. President of the League of Nations 1937-38, & Begum Hom Habibeh Aga Khan (1906-2000) born Yvonne Blanche Labrousse, fourth and last spouse of Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan. A good and rare vintage signed and inscribed 7 x 9.5 photograph, the image depicting the Aga Khan seated and his wife Begum Hom Habibeh standing alongside in a three quarter length pose. Individually signed in bold blue ink to a clear area of the image, Begum stating `To the grand Maestro Clemens Kraus, with our deep admiration - Hom Habibeh´, the Aga khan annotating immediately below `And me Aga Khan too´ in French. Dated in another hand to the dark right bottom corner, Cairo, March 1950. VG £1000-1500 Clemens Krauss (1893-1954) Austrian Conductor. The present signed photograph was obtained in Cairo during the 1950 Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra tour.
