HERG - HERGÉ: (1907-1983) Georges Prosper Remi. Belgian Cartoonist. Best known for creating the series of comics ''The Adventures of Tintin''. A very attractive 6.5 x 4.5 signed F.D.C., `Hergé´, being a colour folding card, showing to the front the cartoon characters Tintin, Milou and Captain Haddock presenting a commemorative stamp, the card cover being a large reproduction of the stamp itself. A postage stamp issued by the Belgian Post Office on 1st October 1979. The present copy, post-stamped and dated 29th September 1979, was issued as an advance sale with a special postmark. Boldly signed by Hergé to the back cover, allowing attractive display. A philatelist and collector´s piece. EX £400-600
