HARING KEITH: (1958-1990) American Artist and Activist. Haring´s imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century. A.L.S., `Keith´, one page, large 4to, n.p., 12th April 1985, to Brion Gysin. Haring writes to his close friend, using his usual black marker and in large capital letters, stating in part, `I thought you'd want to have Xerox copies of the drawings I showed you in Paris....'' A letter of good association written to an influential artist. Haring died at the early age of 31 of Aids-related complications. VG £600-900
Brion Gysin (1916-1986), British painter, writer, poet, inventor and performance artist who influenced the Beat poets and later Haring with his cut-up method.
