PAGANINI NICCOLO: (1782-1840) - PAGANINI NICCOLO: (1782-1840) Italian Violinist and Composer. Very rare A.L.S., Nicolo Paganini , one page, oblong 8vo, Boulogne-sur-Mer, 20th June 1832, to Madame Mangin, in Italian. During his stay in France Paganini had played at the Royal theatre of Versailles on 19th May 1832 and again at the Royal academy of Music in Paris on 1st of June, and before his departure to London he performed one last time in Boulogne-sur-Mer on the 18th of June 1832, two days before the present letter was written. Paganini stayed at Madame Mangin´m s home in Boulogne-sur-Mer those days, where other important artists had done so, including Meyerbeer and Heine. Inn the present letter he warmly thanks his correspondent for her kind hospitality, stating ` Signora Mangin , Io n on dimenticherò giammai le gentilezze ricevute in sua casa, e se provo molta pena allontanandomi dall´ Egregia sua famiglia, mi consola la speranza di rivederli tutti al mio ritorno da Londra. Mi auguro pure il contento di... in Italia per fargli godere il clima dolce della mia Patria.
