A very fine signed colour 8 x 10 photograph of the Pope, the Bachrach image shows the Holy Father standing in a half-length pose wearing his red cassock with one hand raised as he makes a papal blessing. Presented in its original 10.25 x 13.25 photographer’s mat. Signed in black ink `Joannes Paulus PP II´, to the lower white matted border of the image. Also dated beneath 5th January 1985, in his hand. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Monsignor Emery Cabongo, secretary to the Holy Father, stating: “ Mr. Abdul Woheed from the Embassy of Pakistan to Italy asked me to obtain for you the autograph of his Holiness Pope John Paul II.
