Proust writes to his friend and colleague Sorel who would pass away few days later, stating `Cher ami, je ne cesse pas un instant de penser à vous. Je voudrais être près de vous, on ne me permet pas de me lever encore. Je suis bien malheureux. Je l´aime autant que je l´admire et je sens bien aux nouvelles de l´état que cela va bien mal.
