ROSTAND EDMOND: (1868-1918) French Poet and Dramatist whose works include Cyrano de Bergerac (1897). A very attractive Autograph Statement signed ` Edmond Rostand´, in his usual and attractive writing, one page, to a French postcard, bearing to the front an image of Rostand, in head and shoulders pose, in his usual elegant look, in French. Rostand pens a statement, in fountain pen ink, which he identifies immediately below from his work `(Cyrano)´, stating ` Et je voudrais mourir, un soir, sous un ciel rose, en faisant un bon mot, pour une belle cause...´ (" And I would like to die, one evening, under a pink sky, making a joke, for a good cause...").
