VEIDT CONRAD: (1893-1943) - VEIDT CONRAD: (1893-1943) German Actor. Best known for his role as Major Strasser in Casablanca (1942), his last film role. Veidt was a former UFA star in German silent films, who was forced to leave Germany together with his Jewish wife after Nazis came to power in 1933.
